|
Giving You Clear Information to Help You Choose To Make a Difference
Ewgeco raises awareness of energy consumption, helping control and reduce electricity, gas and water bills. It will be available for home use from 2009.
Clever
Ewgeco will be able to display your household energy consumption in real-time on its traffic light display. When electricity and gas appliances are turned on or water is running, the coloured bars will light up one by one going from green to amber then red. As your usage goes up, Ewgeco leaves a marker for your highest daily usage point. You will see how much you are spending and how much C02 your home is emitting. This information will be downloadable to your PC.
Educational
Ewgeco's LED lights will help teach you and your family to turn off appliances when not required, saving energy, money and reducing C02 emissions.
Ewgeco will encourage children to change their behaviour by taking responsibility for their own energy usage. The whole family will become more aware of how much energy they use and what it costs in monthly bills.
Safety
Before leaving the home or going to bed, Ewgeco will allow you to check from a single location if there is any unexpected usage of electricity, water or gas. You will know from looking at Ewgeco's display if an appliance has been left on enabling you to take action to provent potential fire or flood in your home.
